Blue Cross Policy: The Blue Cross will not give any animals out in adoption unless they are spayed/neutered. In case a very young puppy is taken, or an abandoned not fit for sterilisation at the time of adopting, the animal must be brought back for sterilisation as soon as possible and compulsorily before it can mate and litter
IMPORTANT: We do not have pedigree puppies and all our breeds are mongrels/Indian. There are some pedigree adult dogs that have been abandoned by their owners and are waiting at BC for adoption. For all details, please call 22300666

I would like to inform that,i am residing at Anna nagar west, (thiruvalluvar kudiyiruppu) I-Block,chennai-40.In our area one street dog front leg swelling too big, so not able to walk, kindly do the help for that dog.

We are residing at 3rd Main Rd, Mahalakshmi Nagar, Adambakkam, In a street just opposite our house a female dog has littered 4 pups. They have begun to run to the main rd. We are frightened that they would be run over by vehicles. This is what happened the last time the bitch littered. Please adopt an Indian dog that has a fur coat suitable for our climate and a robust immune system. I’m from B’lore. Here, one of my friends by name Ms. Neeta Bavdekar has been taking care of abandoned dogs, puppies as well as stray dogs. She has been doing yeoman service since several years. However, she is being troubled by her neighbours off late, as a result of which they want her to abandon all her dogs or kill them. Just 10 days back, people from city corporation took away all her dogs and dumped them somewhere and she was not even told about their location. After 2 days she was able to finally locate them and when she went to fetch them back, some of them had died due to suffocation. She has been threatened by her locality people and because of this, she has left her dogs some where on the outskirts of the city in an open land, temporarily. As she doesn’t want to abandon these dogs, she is now planning to shift over to the rural area of B’lore city. For this, one gentleman has agreed to lease out a plot of land measuring 40′ x 60′. She needs to build a structure so that she can shift over there and retain the dogs and take care of them. My request to animal lovers is that if all of u can contribute something towards the construction of the structure, it would be of great help to her. I would request people to go for good Indian dogs. Advantage of Indian dogs are they are bold enough to fight, they adopt to the climatic condition and they won’t fall sick often. Even I have an Indian dog which is with me for more than 17yrs. If you see breeded dogs it is very hard to maintain them. People think that having a breeded dog at home is prestigious but maintaining it is more important. They should groom the dog properly, feeding is more important, we should be friendly and should treat them as our family member.
